Recognizing Harassment
Recognizing harassment, especially in subtle forms, can be challenging. Harassment takes various shapes, encompassing physical, verbal, and emotional abuse, and it can occur in any setting, whether in-person or online.
Examples of harassment may include:
• Offensive language, name-calling, or slurs
• Making sexual comments or innuendos
• Spreading rumors or false information
• Physical violence or threats of violence
• Unwanted physical contact, including touching or groping
• Sexual harassment, such as unwanted advances or requests for sexual favors
If you encounter any of these or other forms of harassment, it’s crucial to speak up and report the incident. Remember, you are not alone, and there are people ready to assist you.
Reporting Harassment
Unicampus treats all forms of harassment seriously and has established protocols to address these situations effectively. If you encounter harassment, here’s what you should do:
1. Report the incident to Unicampus administration or any staff member promptly.
2. Share details of the incident, including the date, time, location, and any witnesses present. This information assists Unicampus in thoroughly investigating the incident and implementing appropriate measures.
3. If you possess evidence, such as text messages, emails, or photos, provide them to Unicampus administration or the staff member handling your case. Evidence strengthens your case and supports your claims.
4. Cooperate with Unicampus administration’s investigation process and offer any additional information or clarification as needed.
5. Unicampus administration will take suitable action to resolve the matter, either amicably between parties or, if necessary, by cooperating with the relevant authorities.
